About Sihle L. Meyiwa

Sihle L. Meyiwa is a South African author, founder of FGM Publishers, TVET curriculum practitioner, researcher and educator. With more than a decade of experience in the technical and vocational education and training sector, Sihle's work brings together education, research, professional experience and a deep interest in the social realities that shape people's lives.

Working within a rural educational context has provided Sihle with firsthand insight into the opportunities and challenges experienced by students, educators and communities navigating a rapidly changing world. These experiences have shaped a growing body of work examining the intersections between education, technology, gender, economic opportunity and the future of work.

As an author, Sihle writes across both research-informed and popular nonfiction. The writing explores subjects that are relevant to contemporary life while making space for conversations that are often overlooked, uncomfortable or difficult to discuss.

Author, Researcher & Educator

Sihle's professional journey has developed at the intersection of practice and scholarship.

As an educator and TVET curriculum practitioner, Sihle has spent years working within education and engaging with the realities of teaching, learning and curriculum implementation.

As a researcher, Sihle explores questions emerging from these experiences, particularly those relating to inclusion, digital transformation, gender, empowerment and the changing nature of education and work.

As an author, Sihle transforms these experiences and areas of inquiry into books designed to inform, challenge assumptions and encourage reflection.

This connection between experience, research and writing is central to Sihle's approach.
